Caregiver’s Toolbox: Best Resources
Are you struggling to find ways to be supportive to a friend or family member with chronic pain? It is not always easy to know what to do. It took years, but I finally have discovered the most helpful resources to show my support and concern for my partner who is in pain. In the beginning when we didn’t have the right information, I needed tools to get me on the right path to help my wife, rather than feeling helpless while I watched her suffer. Below are resources, products and information that I find helpful as a caregiver. Many of them may help you set the expectations of others in your life when it comes to dealing with chronic pain from the caregiver’s perspective. They can also help your loved one save his or her “energy pennies”(discussed in spring’s first installment), which is so important for both of you.
