JOAN LUNDEN, featured in PainPathways Magazine, to Speak at NC Breast Cancer Awareness Event on October 13

Joan Lunden, breast cancer survivor, former Good Morning America host and the current cover feature of PainPathways Magazine, will speak at two events through earlier.org – Friends for an Earlier Breast Cancer Test ®, a North Carolina–based nonprofit organization dedicated solely to funding research to find an earlier biological test for breast cancer.

Lunden went public with her breast cancer diagnosis in June 2014, during a GMA broadcast, speaking about early detection and revealing that her cancer was missed by her mammograms.

In PainPathways Magazine (a quarterly publication focused on chronic, acute and cancer pain, also based in NC ), Lunden tells her story and discusses her new book Had I Known.

The community is invited to hear Lunden speak during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month at the Sheraton Four Seasons + Koury Convention Center on Tuesday, October 13, where she will share her cancer journey at a luncheon, followed by a book signing. VIP tickets and the opportunity for a private, post-luncheon Q & A session are available.  A dinner program will take place the same evening.
Event information at www.earlier.org.
